Madoka is a handy little app that helps you see how much time you spend on different applications throughout your day. If you're curious about tracking your habits or just want to boost your productivity, this might be the tool for you!
This lightweight menu bar app keeps an eye on what apps are in use and shows the data in both list and pie chart forms. It's pretty straightforward—just fire it up and get back to your usual activities.
Once you've started Madoka, it tracks any app that you use for over a minute. After that, it adds an entry so you can see how long each application has been on top of your other windows during the time period you've selected.
The app displays all this info in a neat list sorted by how much time each app spent in the foreground. Plus, there's a pie chart that shows either the icon or name of the apps for quick visual insights.
You can pick different time intervals to view your stats: one hour, four hours, eight hours, or even the whole day! However, keep in mind that you can't manually reset these measurements.
While Madoka does a great job at tracking usage, it would be nice if you could view stats between specific times and have more options for graphical displays. Also, currently, there's no way to save the data gathered over multiple days; it only shows today's usage.
Overall, Madoka is an easy-to-use app that gives good insight into your daily Mac habits. But with just a few more customization options and better data storage capabilities, it could really shine!
