MacPCLtoPDF is a super handy application for macOS that lets you convert PCL files into PDFs without any hassle. It uses the open-source GhostPCL engine, which is packed right into the app. So, all you need to do is drop your PCL, PXL, or PRN file right on the MacPCLtoPDF icon, and you're set!

Easy to Use Interface

This app has a really simple user interface, making it a breeze to work with. Just launch the app and pick the file you want to convert from the list. You can also drag and drop your files right in there! Just a heads up though: MacPCLtoPDF can only handle one file at a time.

Your PDF Files Are Ready!

Once you drop your file in, it will automatically create a PDF in the same folder as your original file. If there’s already another PDF with that name in there, you'll get a prompt asking if you want to overwrite it. No worries if you don’t want to replace it; you can cancel that process.

Quick Viewing Options

The default setting for MacPCLtoPDF is just to create your PDF file. But if you'd like it to open automatically in your go-to PDF viewer after it's done converting, all you have to do is add the letter “v” to the app's name.

Adjusting Settings Made Simple

If changing the application name isn’t your thing, no problem! You can just open up the main AppleScript included with the app and switch the “viewAfterConverting” setting from “false” to “true.” It’s really straightforward!
