Maccy is a clipboard manager that really gets what we all love about the macOS clipboard. It’s simple and easy to use, but with a cool twist—it keeps a history of everything you’ve copied! This means if you accidentally copy over something important, you can easily go back and grab it again.
This app does just one thing, but it does it well. When you copy text, Maccy saves it in a list that you can check out later. You can either click on the app's icon in your menu bar or use the handy shortcut ⌘⇧C to pull up your clipboard history right where your mouse is.
One of the best things about Maccy is there’s no cap on how many clippings it can save! That means you won’t lose anything unless you decide to clear it out yourself. However, this could lead to an overwhelming list if you're not careful. It would be awesome if users could set a limit on how many clippings are kept!
If you're searching for something specific in your clippings, Maccy's got your back! You can scroll through the list or just start typing to filter out what doesn't matter. It makes finding what you've copied super quick and easy.
The first ten items in your clipboard history can be pasted with a simple hotkey using ⌘1-10. For anything else, just select it and hit Enter. Want to paste directly? Just hold down ⌥ while pressing Enter!
If you're looking for a straightforward clipboard manager that helps you remember text you've copied before without all those extra features, then Maccy is perfect for you! Plus, it's free and open-source! You can download it here!
