What is Keystone FOR MAC?

Keystone

Keystone is a cool tool for Safari users who want to make their web searching easier. If you've ever wanted to search Wikipedia quickly or try out a different search engine besides Google, then Keystone is just what you need!

What is Keystone?

This nifty little plug-in is free and works with SIMBL. It lets you add custom keyword searches right in Safari. For example, if you type a phrase like "wiki Mac OS X" directly into the address bar, Keystone will help by turning that into a Wikipedia search. How easy is that? In this case, it would take you straight to the Mac OS X page on Wikipedia!

How to Install Keystone

Getting started with Keystone is super simple! You can install it by running the "Install Keystone for Me" script. Or if you're feeling adventurous, you can manually copy the Keystone.bundle file to your ~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins folder (you might need to create that folder if it's not already there). After that, just relaunch Safari, and you're good to go!

How to Uninstall Keystone

If for some reason you decide you no longer want Keystone, uninstalling it is just as easy. Simply delete the Keystone.bundle file from your ~/Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins folder (that's inside the "SIMBL" folder in "Application Support," which you'll find in your Library folder at home). After deleting it, all you have to do is quit and reopen Safari.
