What is JHashCode FOR MAC?

JHashCode

JHashCode is a Java-based application that makes it super easy to generate hash codes for any file or folder. You can use six different algorithms, so you've got options! Plus, it lets you compare the generated hash with another string you provide.

Easy File Handling

With JHashCode, you can just drag and drop your files or navigate through your drive using the Finder menu. To get started, pick an algorithm—your choices are MD2, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, or SHA-512.

Generating Hash Codes

If you're working with single files, once you hit the Generate Hash button, JHashCode will show the code right in its main window. How cool is that?

Working with Folders

If you're dealing with folders instead of single files, JHashCode will ask if you want it to scan all the subfolders too. You'll also need to decide if you want the scanning to be recursive (checking subfolders) or non-recursive (just checking what's in that folder).

Detecting Hidden Files

This app doesn’t miss a thing! It detects all included files—even hidden ones—and generates a separate hash for each one.

Saving and Sharing Hash Codes

You can save your generated hash to a file or copy it straight to your clipboard for easy sharing. No hassle at all!

Verification Tool

The best part? JHashCode also works as a verification tool. You can check if two hash codes match up. Just point the app to the file you want to verify, enter the hash code you've got in the right spot, select which algorithm was used to create it, and see if they match!

Check If Your File Is Original

This way, JHashCode helps you figure out whether you're using the original file or not. It's like having an extra layer of security for your data!
