What is iSuck?

iSuck

iSuck is a handy little app that helps you preview both large and small icons. Plus, it lets you pull those icons right out of resource files and save them as ICO or BMP images. The best part? You don’t need to set anything up; it’s super simple to use with just a few options that are easy to understand.

Old-School Look

Now, I have to mention that iSuck hasn’t seen an update in a while. If you take a peek at its interface, you'll get some serious Windows 95 vibes! But don’t worry—it still works on modern Windows systems. Just keep in mind you might need to download and register a few DLLs first.

No Installation Needed

This program comes wrapped up in one .exe file, so you can save it anywhere on your hard drive or even on a USB flash drive. This means you can run iSuck on any PC without messing with your Windows registry settings.

Icon Previewing Made Easy

With iSuck, you can easily view small and large icons from apps that are installed or portable, as long as they’re launched through a DLL or EXE file. Need to convert an icon (ICO)? No problem! You can open those too and change them into BMP images.

User-Friendly Features

The icon preview panel shows how many icon files are included in the product. If there are multiple sets of icons available, you can flip through them easily. Just keep in mind that you can only save one icon at a time, but it allows you to choose where to save it, along with the file name and format!

Getting Started

Once you get iSuck running—especially if your system doesn’t have the Visual Basic (VB) runtime—it’s really user-friendly! It lets you extract both large and small icons from DLL or EXE resource files and saves them as either ICO or BMP graphic files. Just remember though, this app is pretty old school with its limited features!
