IPv4/IPv6 DNS and DHCP config generator is a handy tool that helps you create DNS and DHCP configuration files from one main configuration file. It’s super useful if you’re managing networks!
Key Features of IPv4/IPv6 DNS and DHCP Config Generator
This generator supports both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, which means you can work with all kinds of networks. Here are some cool features:
- It supports multiple subnets, making it easier to manage different DHCP configuration files.
- You can handle multiple IPv4 networks. For every /24 network, addrconf will generate one reverse DNS zone.
- If you're using IPv6, it can create one reverse DNS zone, ideally with a /48 prefix.
- Just a heads up—addrconf doesn’t build complete config files. For DHCP config files, it only creates the "host asdf {...}" blocks. And for the DNS zone files, it generates just the A, AAAA, and PTR records. You’ll need to include these in your other config files.
