What is IE4RC?

IE4RC

IE4RC is a totally free tool designed for Internet Explorer. It stands for Internet Explorer toolbar for RemoteCalendars. This handy plugin works with COM-.NET and lets you subscribe to an iCalendar (that’s RFC 2445) in Outlook, but only if you have RemoteCalendars installed. Plus, it also gives support for webcal!

What’s New with IE4RC?

I’m really excited to share that the first version of IE4RC is finally here! Installing this extension on Internet Explorer will make your experience feel a lot like using iCal on a Macintosh, which is pretty cool.

How Does It Work?

Using it is super easy! Just remember to close any open instances of Internet Explorer before you install it—this part is important! Once you've got it set up, whenever you right-click on a link in Internet Explorer, you'll see an option that says “Subscribe to RemoteCalendars.” Click on that, and if Outlook wasn’t already running, it’ll pop up with the subscription form ready for you!

Requirements You Need

Here’s what you need:

  • Internet Explorer 5.5

  • RemoteCalendars

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0

  • Microsoft Office 2003
