HP Adjustment Pattern Utility

HP Adjustment Pattern Utility is a straightforward piece of software designed to help users improve the picture quality of HP and Compaq Flat-Panel monitors. Please note that this utility only works with flat-panel monitors that are connected to computers via analog video cables (and VGA connectors).

To achieve optimal picture performance, the producer recommends that users set their operating system display mode to the flat panel’s native resolution. For example, for 14 and 15-inch flat panels, the resolution should be 1024x768, for 17, 18, and 19-inch monitors it should be 1280x1024, until the 23 and 24-inch WIDE flat panels which require a resolution of 1920x1200.

Getting started with the app is not difficult either, as users only need to run the "Adjustment pattern.exe" from its installation location (usually C:\Program Files\Hewlett-Packard), and press the AUTO button on the flat panel monitor. Alternatively, users can select the Auto-Adjustment function from the monitor OSD menu or the same result.
