Developed for the Yahoo! platform, HotFM radio widget is a small app that plays a radio station from Malaysia, found at HotFm.com.my. It can be seamlessly installed and set up, even by first-time users.
The interface of the program is made from a very small window that you can move to any position on the screen, with the help of the mouse cursor.
Aside from a start and stop button, there are no other options available through this tool. But, thanks to the Yahoo! Widget Engine, you can open the context and go to the Widget Preferences area, in order to make some adjustments.
You can make the frame of HotFM radio widget stay on top or below all the other windows, prevent dragging and ignore mouse events. Last but not least, you can adjust the opacity between 20% and 100%.
The lightweight widget is not a burden to the computer's overall performance, as it uses a very low amount of CPU and system memory. It has a good response time and works well, without hanging, crashing or showing error notifications.
On the downside, you cannot customize the UI appearance or adjust the volume level. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, HotFM radio widget can be handled by all types of users.
