Description

Hamsi Manager is an open source, multiplatform and completly free graphical application designed in Qt to act as a sophisticated file manager, ID3 tagger, renamer, and information changer utility for Linux and Windows platforms.

The software has been created from the ground up for end users and developers alike, as well as music listeners, and other people who want to perform single or multiple processes to several files at once.

Key features include the ability to correct encoding and character errors in your filesystem, support for changing file encoding from one format to another (supported encodings include UTF-8, CP 1254, ISO-8859-9, and many others), support for organizing all the files and folders in such a way that you will be able to easily find anything you want, when you want.

The software allows users to delete unneeded files and empty folders based on their criteria, in order to have an uncluttered operating system that runs fast and starts even faster.

If you want to use the Hamsi Manager software right away, without installing anything on your personal computer, simply download the pre-built binary archive from Softpedia using the dedicated download section above.

Please note the the binary package works only on 64-bit operating systems. To use it, save the TAR archive on your Home directory, uncompress it with your favorite archive manager utility, open the extracted folder, access the ‘bin’ folder, and double click on the ‘hamsi’ file.

The Hamsi Manager software is engineered to work on all GNU/Linux distributions, as well as on the Microsoft Windows operating system. You should also be able to install it on BSD systems, such as FreeBSD. The application runs on both 64 and 32-bit architectures.
