Google PageRank for Delphi

How It Works

The component you're looking at is called PageRank (pagerank.pas). It comes packed with two classes and two functions that make your life easier. You can use the non-visual component TPageRank to grab the PageRank value. If you want to show that value, you'll use TPageRankControl.

If you're curious about how to get the PageRank value, there's a function called GetURLQuery. This lets you create a query to retrieve the PageRank value. Plus, there's another function called StrToPageRank, which helps convert the document you receive into a usable PR value.

Installation Steps

Ready to get started? First, unzip the PRFREE.ZIP file while keeping its folder structure intact. Then, fire up your Delphi IDE and open up the package file (look for something like "Delphi ?pagerank_d?.dpk", where "?" represents your version of Delphi).

Next, hit the "Compile" button followed by "Install." After that, Delphi will notify you that two new components have been successfully installed: TPageRank and TPageRankControl. You can find these components on the "Internet" page of your components palette.
