Google Drive (formerly known as Google Backup and Sync) is a super handy app for macOS that lets you access your files and folders stored in the cloud anytime, anywhere. It’s great for syncing your data across all your devices and platforms!
With Google Drive, you can easily store all kinds of files on Google’s servers. This means you can grab your documents from almost any location or device, making it super convenient!
A cool feature of Google Drive is how easy it is to share files. You can invite friends, family, or coworkers to view and edit your documents. Plus, you have control over who gets access! Share them publicly or just with specific people using a share link.
If you want to pause or restart syncing, you can do that right from the status bar menu. You’ll also be able to open the Google Drive folder quickly and check out what items are shared with your account.
You can see how much storage space you've used so far. If you need more room, buying extra cloud space is easy! Just head over to the Preferences window for all the options.
The context menu in Google Drive is another handy feature that speeds up sharing. You can share selected files or view them online in just a couple of clicks!
You even have the option to back up images directly to Google Photos from within the app when adding new folders.
If you're looking for a reliable tool to keep your files backed up in the cloud while syncing between multiple devices, Google Drive should definitely be on your short list!
