Even if you are not using Microsoft Edge, sometimes you may notice that some web links are opened via the embedded browser. The reason for this is that Microsoft prefers to lock certain links, and hence, you end up with various Documentation, Help, or websites opening up in Edge, even though you have another default browser.
Since the launch of Windows 11, where the issue persists, Microsoft has allowed users to change the default browser directly from the Settings. However, this does not seem to work for all users and systems.
In case you encounter issues regarding redirects and wish to prevent Microsoft Edge from popping up altogether, GoAwayEdge offers a convenient solution.
