Description

gngr

gngr is a cool Internet browser made completely with Java. It’s built to be super stable and secure, which is pretty awesome! This browser supports HTML and CSS codes but totally ignores cookies, scripts, or plug-ins. The whole point of gngr is to keep you safe online by protecting your anonymity, privacy, and data integrity.

Safe Browsing Experience

With gngr, you can surf the web safely. You have the option to turn off support for almost all protocols except for HTTP, HTTPS, or DATA. Plus, it can block any website or module from accessing your files or personal info. How cool is that?

Powerful Sandboxing Mechanism

This feature comes from its strong sandboxing system that defines how its modules work. You can easily disable cookies and scripts so they won’t track your computer or reveal your location to anyone else. Of course, if you trust a website, you can enable cookies and scripts just for them.

Reliable Support During Development

Even though gngr is still being developed, it offers reliable browsing support. It includes handy tools like quick keyword search, bookmarking pages, and quickly switching between sites you've visited recently.

User-Friendly Features

You can stop a page from loading whenever you want or refresh it easily. Want to search websites for news feeds or blogs? gngr has shortcuts for that too! It also supports connecting through HTTP or SOCKS proxies as well as a direct connection.

Customizable Home Page

You get to set your home page to any address you want! Plus, you can change up the list of shortcuts for search engines whenever you'd like.

No Installation Needed!

The best part? gngr is super easy to use and doesn’t even need installation! Just make sure you have Java runtime on your computer first. While it's still in development and doesn’t focus on speed (and doesn’t support Flash), it really shines when it comes to keeping your data secure by blocking any app trying to access your files.

If you're interested in checking out gngr, give it a try!
