Gloss is a handy little app that makes it super easy to check out multiple websites and get to your favorite pages without any hassle.
When you fire up Gloss for the first time, you'll need to open a new tab and type in the URL. Just make sure you spell it right, or it won't work! If you want to close a tab, remember to click the right button because there's no right-click menu or 'Ctrl+W' shortcut here.
This app has a multi-tabbed setup, so you can load as many web pages as you like. But here's the catch: it doesn't show the name of each website on the title bar. That can make it tricky when you've got a bunch of tabs open! Luckily, you can use the 'Alt+Tab' shortcut to switch between sites quickly.
If you're looking for a full-fledged web browser, Gloss might not be your best bet. It skips out on basic features like bookmarks, spell check, private browsing, and even a download manager. You won't find an option to see your recently closed tabs or save your favorite sites either!
If you want to go back and forth on a page, you'll have to use buttons on the main toolbar since pressing 'Backspace' won't do anything here. But hey, if you hit the 'Search' button, you'll be taken straight to Google no matter which tab you're on—definitely saves time!
Gloss runs on the Gecko Rendering Engine but could use some upgrades in functionality. Right now, it's all about manually entering URLs and browsing your favorite sites.
