Switching between these profiles can be a pain, especially if you're in the middle of something and suddenly realize that your PC is on that energy-saving scheme and your CPU isn't on full capacity. This is where GiMeSpace Power Control comes to the rescue.

This application can help you switch between power schemes automatically by detecting the load on your CPU and activating the energy saver whenever the CPU load is beneath a user-specified threshold or loading a high-power profile if the load is above the value you set.

Once launched, you'll notice a main window with combo menus, slider bars, and buttons for easy operation. Select a low-power scheme and a high-power one, set CPU threshold values, adjust the time spent in a power scheme, and choose the time between CPU load checks.

View the current CPU load in the main window, next to the "Pause" button, which can be used to halt the CPU load checking process.
