fping FOR LINUX


fping is a completely free and open-source command-line ping program designed for GNU/Linux operating systems. It uses the Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) echo request to determine the status of network hosts.

  3. Unpack the file

  4. Open a Terminal app

  5. Move to the directory where the package is extracted

  6. Run './configure && make' to compile the program

  7. Execute 'sudo make install' to install it system-wide
