Whether you're crafting simple sounds or diving into complex multi-layer events with effects and envelopes, FMOD Designer makes it easy for sound designers like us. You can layer sounds, add effects, and even make them act randomly. It’s all about creating the perfect sound environment!

The goal of using FMOD Designer is for sound designers to have full control over in-game audio without needing a programmer for every little change. You just need to give the programmer the assets and an event list to work with. If something needs tweaking later on, it's up to you as the sound designer!

One neat feature is the layering screen. Here, you can create complex audio models—like a car engine with various sounds, multiple channels fading in and out, plus added effects—all controlled by you! The programmer just has to call simple commands like SendEvent and UpdateParameter.

For example, when working on our car model, instead of using complicated values set by a programmer for parameters like 'revs' or 'torque', we can use easy-to-understand names that make sense right away.
