Flickr Slideshow is a cool little gadget made for the Yahoo! Widget Engine. It helps you find photos on the Flickr website using tags. The best part? It’s super easy to use!

How It Works

Once you integrate it with the Yahoo! Widget Engine sidebar, it pops up a small horizontal frame on your screen. This frame has a search tool where you can type or paste a tag. Just hit Enter after you enter your tag, and voilà! The widget will open a new page in your default browser showing a slideshow of pictures that match what you searched for.

No Extra Fuss

This gadget keeps it simple—there aren’t any fancy options built in. Instead, it uses the basic settings available for all Yahoo! Widget Engine tools.

Customize Your Experience

You can customize how the widget behaves too! You have options to hide or close it, keep its frame above or below other windows, and even stop mouse interactions if you want some peace and quiet while browsing. Plus, there’s an opacity slider so you can adjust how see-through the widget is!

Important Note About Updates

The Yahoo! Widget Engine project has been discontinued, but don’t worry—the last version is still available for download so you can use Flickr Slideshow to explore Flickr pics by tag. Just remember that this gadget won’t get any more updates.
