Flash Cards II

Flash Cards II is a cool tool for anyone who wants to work with longer questions and answers than what the original Flash Cards offers. When you open up Flash Cards II, you'll first see the Control Panel. Here, tests are shown in a list format. You even get a default test on U.S. Capitals to help you learn how this program works and make your own tests!

Choose Your Mode: See, Hear, or Both

This software gives you three modes to choose from: "See", "Hear", and "Both" (which means you'll see and hear the Questions and Answers). The best part? The mode you pick will be remembered next time you use it! If you're ready to dive into the default test, just click on U.S. Capitals, select your preferred mode, and hit that "Start" button.

Unique Question Order Every Time

One neat feature is that the questions get scrambled every time you run a test. This means you'll never see them in the same order twice! If you go with the "See" mode, a gray overlay will pop up showing the first question.

Navigating Through Questions

If you're curious about the answer to that question, simply press the "Cursor Right" key on your keyboard. Want to move on to the next question? Just hit "Cursor Down". Need to go back? Hit "Cursor Up"! It's super easy!

Listen Closely with Hear Mode

If you're using the "Hear" mode, clicking on the "Cursor Left" key lets you hear the current question again. To replay the answer, just click on the "Cursor Right" key!

Stopping and Retaking Tests Made Simple

You can stop a test anytime by clicking on the "Stop" button and start it again by hitting "Start." Want another shot at a test? Just click back on its title in your list.

Create Your Own Tests!

The fun doesn't stop there! You can make your own custom tests using TextEdit or through something called the Maintenance Window. To open this window, just click on Maintenance in the menu!
