The interface is super clean and easy to navigate. If you want to create a new archive, the first step is to choose where you want to save it, pick a name, and select the format.

Add Files with Ease

You can use the treeview feature to find and add files quickly. It shows details like file size, type, attributes, and when they were last modified. Plus, you can even make an exclusion list if there are specific files you don't want to include.

Customize Your Archive Options

When you're ready to set up your archive options, you can specify what action you want—whether that’s adding, moving, or updating files—and choose how much compression you need (maximum, normal, light, or none).

Advanced Features

The app lets you do even more! You can add hidden files or empty subdirectories and keep full path info. Want extra security? You can set a password! There's also an option for multiple disk spanning (like automatic or user-defined), which is pretty cool.

Manage Your Archives

You have complete control over your archives: copy them, move them around, rename or delete as needed. You can also check properties of your archives or even create shortcuts! Need something specific? There’s a search function for finding files within your archives too.

Conversion & Encryption Tools

If you're looking to convert files or need encryption/decryption features—Filzip has those as well! It can repair ZIP files and offers multi-extraction tools too.

User-Friendly & Efficient

This app runs smoothly without hogging system resources. It includes a helpful tutorial in the help file so you won't feel lost while using it. The good news? Compression tasks finish pretty quickly!

A Few Limitations

Just keep in mind that while it’s fantastic at what it does, Filzip doesn’t show elapsed or remaining time during tasks. Also, there aren’t any snapshots in the user documentation.
