FaceCam Cover is a super lightweight and portable Windows app that's perfect for anyone who wants to block out distracting face cams while streaming or watching videos. This tool is all about simplicity, helping you cover those annoying little windows with a customizable black square.
As the name suggests, it’s mainly for hiding face cams in streams. But honestly, you can use it for pretty much anything else you need in that space! The options are endless!
This app is great because it doesn’t require any installation. It works on most Windows versions from XP onward. To get started with FaceCam Cover, just download the archive from our safe servers, unzip it, and run the executable file inside. It’s that easy!
When you launch the app, a small black square will pop up on your desktop. You can move this square anywhere on your screen by dragging it around. Even though it's simple, if you hover over the GUI, you'll find some handy shortcuts! You can close it using ALT + ESC, click and drag to move it around, or resize it by clicking and dragging its edges. Plus, there's a right-click menu for easy access to more options.
If you're feeling creative, check out the tray menu! Select “Create INI” to change colors or even add a clock to the interface. This creates an Options.ini file that you can edit in any text editor to save your settings like color changes or window size for next time.
You can find even more customization options in the app's About menu—just right-click on the main window!
While FaceCam Cover might not win any awards for excitement, it's definitely useful. It's small and straightforward but does exactly what you need: covers up those pesky on-screen distractions!
