Description
EXIF Viewer
EXIF Viewer is a super straightforward app for Mac that lets you check out the EXIF info hidden in JPG or THM files. If you’re looking for something easy to use, this minimalist design is just what you need!
How to Use EXIF Viewer
When you open it up, all you’ll see are the status bar menus. To start, you’ll need to point the app to the file you want to look at because it doesn’t support drag and drop. So, make sure to go through the File menu!
What You Can See
This app shows relevant info only for images from digital cameras. If there’s no EXIF data available, don’t be surprised if all you get is a little thumbnail of your image while the rest of the area stays blank.
Viewing Images and Data
Every time you open an image file, EXIF Viewer will pop up a new window just for that file. In this window, you'll find the EXIF details at the top and a thumbnail of your source image at the bottom.
Diving into Details
The software uses something called exiftags to read all that EXIF data for you. You can check out things like file size and name, plus an overview of your camera's details (like equipment maker, model, software used, and lens info) or specific image properties (like orientation, resolution, exposure time, focal length, color space—and more!).
Simplicity at Its Best
If you're someone who likes simple tools for analyzing photo data, then EXIF Viewer is perfect for you! It’s easy as pie! Just keep in mind that this software isn’t under active development anymore but still works well on newer OS X versions like Yosemite.
Download Collections
You can also find EXIF Viewer in some download collections like: View EXIF, Open EXIF.
