So, let’s talk about Espresso. This little app is a total lifesaver for your PC! It helps keep your computer awake when you need it to. You know those times when you're working on something important, and you really don’t want your laptop going to sleep? Espresso has got your back!
This power plan can put your PC in standby mode after some time of not being used. That’s great for saving electricity and making your laptop battery last longer. But sometimes, you just need that extra bit of time to finish up your work without interruptions.
Espresso is super easy to use. Once you launch the app, it quietly hangs out in your system tray. Just right-click its icon, and voilà! You can block sleep mode for a certain period. How cool is that?
You have options too! You can set it to block sleep mode for anywhere between 5 minutes to a whopping 12 hours. And if you’re really focused, why not keep it awake indefinitely? Just make sure to turn it off when you're done.
A nifty idea would be being able to double-click the tray icon to quickly stop sleep mode indefinitely and then reactivate it later. Right now, though, you can still pick specific durations from the menu.
If there are some duration options that don’t suit you, no worries! You could also wish for a way to enter your own custom value directly. Plus, within the settings, you can decide if Espresso should run automatically when you start your computer and what duration works best for you.
The only thing running in the system tray will be this handy tool, and you'll know it's active just by looking at the icon. All in all, Espresso is a neat little program for anyone who needs a simple way to keep their PC from sleeping temporarily. There’s room for improvement here and there, but it definitely does what it's meant to do!
