Description
EKG is a complex piece of software you can use to produce random and strong passwords to ensure the safety of your private documents, pictures and other types of files, as well as email accounts and wireless networks.
The tool features a vast array of advanced settings that may take a while to master, due to the fact that the interface is cluttered and the buttons are not that intuitive.
Dictionary and random character modes are possible for generating passwords. However, it's necessary to create a dictionary file from scratch (with one word per line) since the program doesn't have a dictionary of its own.
The pattern can be adjusted so that EKG leans toward using more dictionary words or more random characters or balanced, depending on your preference.
It's also possible to separately set the minimum and maximum key length for dictionary and character-based mode, along with the range of keys to generate. All or handpicked lower or upper case letters, numbers or symbols can be excluded. You can choose a favorite separator, create all passwords with one click, and save the results list to file.
The entire package is based on just one file. This .exe can be stored in a preferred directory on the computer or copied to a removable storage device to seamlessly launch EKG on any machine with little effort. It doesn't have software requirements, change the Windows registry configuration, or make any files without permission.
All things considered, EKG may take a while to get used to. However, there is a help file available that explains all options. It produced passwords swiftly in our tests while remaining light on system resources usage.
