EE Tool Kit is a simple yet very efficient Mac OS X application designed to help circuit designers find the best solutions for optimizing the schematics, taking into account the range of tolerances. Note that EE Tool Kit uses standard component values which you can find in real life when you try to actually build the circuit.
You will be able to view all the app has to offer in the Table of Contents which is hosted in the EE Tool Kit main window. First of all, EE Tool Kit is able to deal with basic calculations: Decibels, L & C Reactance, LED Series Resistor, Ohms Law, Parallel / Series R & C, Resistor Divider Ratio and Resistor & Potentiometer Divider Ratio.
EE Tool Kit allows you to integrate a wide range of different circuit components into your projects: 1% and smaller, 2% through 20%, four band resistors, resistor value checkers, SMD resistor markings and three band resistors.
To get you started, EE Tool Kit provides 12 sample circuits that cover both basic and more unusual schematics: Adder Subtractor, Capacitance multiplier, Constant current source, Crystal Oscillator, Higher voltage (bridge) drive, Op-amp booster, Parallel op-amps, Parallel transistors, Summing Amplifier, Voltage to current 1, Voltage to current 2 and Window comparator.
The application also includes detailed tutorials and conversion utilities, shows you how to work with oscillators (555, logic gate, sine / cosine), amplifiers (differential, inverting or noninverting), voltage dividers (fixed resistor, resistor and potentiometer), voltage regulators (LM317 / 337 and Zener) and many other references (ANSI clearance and tap or drill wire tables).
