Desktop Listview is a handy tool that changes how you see your desktop icons. Normally, Windows lets you pick between small, medium, or large icons and even aligns them on a grid. But guess what? There’s no way to view them in list mode like you can with files in Windows Explorer. That’s where Desktop Listview really shines!
This cool software comes in a lightweight package and lets you show your desktop icons as a list. It's just like how files and folders look in Windows Explorer when you select the "list" view. Pretty neat, right?
By default, Desktop Listview kicks into gear when your computer starts up and sits quietly in the system tray. Once it’s up and running, you'll notice your desktop icons are arranged neatly in a list instead of the usual display.
If you want to switch back to the regular icon view, just double-click on the Desktop Listview icon in your system tray. Want to bring back the list view? You guessed it—double-click again! It's super easy.
This software doesn’t come with tons of options or complicated settings. Honestly, for what it does, you probably won’t need any extra features.
In our tests, Desktop Listview worked perfectly on some computers. However, we did see issues on others where desktop shortcuts disappeared while using the list view mode. But don’t worry; this might just be an isolated problem.
