Cuprum

Cuprum is a handy app for viewing Gerber files, which are super important when working with circuit board designs. If you're using a Mac, this software lets you check out those Gerber files easily, even if they're multi-layered.

Easy-to-Use Interface

The Cuprum user interface is straightforward and clean. You'll find everything in one window where you can open your Gerber files. There's a simple import button to load your .art files, and you can also show or hide the layers panel whenever you want.

Manage Your Layers

In the Layers area of Cuprum, all your loaded .art files are displayed. You can choose which ones to show in the main panel. Plus, you can assign specific functions to each image file and set their attachments as needed.

Layer Functions Supported

Cuprum supports a bunch of layer functions like copper, soldermask, legend, goldmask, silvermask, tinmask, carbonmask, peel-off, viatenting, viafill, glue, keep-out areas, paste layers, heatsink placements, pads for components, scoring information for cuts or drills—basically anything you'd need for circuit design!

Zooming and Ruler Options

You also get basic zooming features with some keyboard shortcuts. And if you're looking to measure things precisely? No problem! Cuprum has side rulers that display measurements in millimeters, mils (which are really small), and inches.

Save or Print Your Work

If you want to save your setup later on or print it out directly from the app—you're covered! You can save your work in a special file format or use the Print panel options to save it as a PDF on your Mac without printing anything physically.

QuickLook Integration

A cool feature of Cuprum is that it installs a QuickLook plug-in for your system. This means you can quickly preview those Gerber files right in Finder without needing to open them up fully. Just remember that after installation, restarting your computer or relaunching Finder will get everything running smoothly!
