Description

Throughout the years, different nations developed various measuring techniques, since communication wasn’t as accessible as in modern times. Conversion is required in most cases, since there’s not yet an universal language for everything, and Converters wants to help you convert temperature units.

One major advantage here is that you don’t have to go through a setup process to ensure application functionality, and it’s good to go from the moment download is done. This means you can use it on other computers without affecting the health status, because the program doesn’t make any changes to system registries during runtime. Note that .NET Framework is mandatory.

The main window comes up as an introduction, letting you select the only available function through a drop down menu. Conversion is done in a separate window which shows up when selecting the function. Although its intentions are good, the application’s custom design isn’t really what it wants to be.

You need to manually write down the input value in a dedicated field. In order to get a result, you must select the conversion mode, which can either be Fahrenheit to Celsius or the other way around. Unfortunately, Kelvin units are not included here.

In case you want to use the result somewhere else, it needs to be manually written down, with no possibility to select the line of text to send to clipboard. To quickly access the application’s features from any computer location, there’s the possibility to assign a hotkey command to its shortcut from the Properties panel.

Taking everything into consideration, we can state that Converters comes with good intentions, but looks and feels a little rough around the edges. With two windows for a single process, and a pretty unpleasant visual design, there’s a high chance you’re quickly tempted to look for alternatives.
