Comtun Pro

Comtun Pro is a handy software that helps you set up your Internet settings so you can have multiple connections at the same time. Think of it like a router, but it can also act as a firewall, a VPN, or even a network filter depending on what you need.

Installing Comtun Pro

When you're ready to install, you'll get to pick between installing both the server and client apps or just the client. If you go with just the client, make sure to connect to the computer that’s acting as the server.

Getting Started

After installation, log in using the default username ('Administrator') and leave the password blank. This will take you to the Comtun Manager window where all the magic happens!

Main Features of Comtun Pro

The main screen shows details about your ComSocks proxy connections. You can set how many connections are allowed at once from here. In the 'General' tab, adjust your ComSocks connection settings like the IP of your proxy server or dial-up networking options. There’s even a separate window for more commands and preferences!

Network Adapters and Daemons

The ‘Adapters’ section lists all network adapters on your host system and tells you if they are running. Under the ‘Daemons’ tab, check out RealAudio, Email, FTP, DHCP, HTTP, Telnet, and more! Each one can be adjusted through its window.

Port Mapping and Firewall Settings

If you're curious about how ports are set up under ComSocks, check out the ‘Port Mapping’ tab—though keep in mind that ComSocks usually works fine without port mapping.

User Management Made Easy

The ‘Firewall’ section lets you tweak security levels and even create custom rules. Plus, with the ‘Users’ tab, adding new groups or users is simple! You can set up credentials for authentication too.
