On the first run, you can decide the default storage directory for your books, browse through your computer, and open it in comicsJolt! Light. The main window displays the detected comics and indicates the one you are currently reading, allowing you to return to it whenever you want, on the exact same page where you left off. comicsJolt! Light supports both CBR and CBZ format files, enabling you to open and view their contents without too much effort. All entries are listed in a queue, allowing you to access the one you feel like reading with a single click.

From the options bar, you can also open a file from a different location or pin the default folder to your Start Screen. The ‘Show History’ feature lets you check the latest things you have read, enabling you to restart from the same place you left off if you had not finished. When reading a comic book, you can browse through the pages using the left and right arrows. Optionally, you can set comicsJolt! Light to ‘Read Right to Left,’ which can come in handy for certain types of books. In terms of visualization preferences, you can ‘Fit to Width,’ use a ‘Smart Two Page View’ or ‘Lock Orientation.’
