CEX is a solid software tool that helps you keep your important files safe. It makes sure that if someone gets their hands on your data, they won’t be able to break through the encryption.
The installation process is quick and simple. When you first launch CEX, you’ll need to choose a ‘Security Level’—you can pick from ‘Low’, ‘Medium’, or ‘High’ based on what you need.
You’ll also set up a master password. Depending on the security level you chose, you'll need this password every time you open CEX.
The cool part about CEX is all the options it gives you for configuring your security settings. In the ‘Application Security’ section, you can select one of three encryption algorithms: Rijndael Extended, Rijndael / Serpent Hybrid, or Dual AES CTR Stream.
You have some choices here too! You can decide on a ‘Key Size’ of either 256 or 512 bits and choose a ‘Cypher Mode’ like Cipher Block Chaining or Segmented Integer Counter. Plus, CEX lets you set your own ‘Vector Size’ and ‘Padding Mode’. You even get to define how CEX behaves with security!
To protect a file, start by creating an encryption key and saving it where you'd like. After that, load the document into CEX, pick your key, choose where to save the output file, and just hit the ‘Encrypt’ button—it’s super easy! If you want to unlock your file later, just open it in the program and click on 'Decrypt'.
In short, CEX is a handy tool that gives you a secure way to encrypt documents so that anyone with bad intentions can’t access them. It’s reliable and user-friendly!
