How CargoWiz Works

Most of what you'll do is fill out a cargo database with some technical specs like size and weight. Once that's done, CargoWiz automatically arranges everything based on what you provided. The whole process takes just three simple steps!

Get Started with Examples

If you're new to this, don't worry! You can check out some examples to get a feel for how it works and what you can achieve. It's also handy if you want to tweak size specs for your current cargo or use container details as a template.

Create from Scratch

You even have the option to start fresh! You can create everything from scratch by beginning with the truck, container, or pallet. There's a table where all your entries go, and you'll need to fill in fields for name, length, width, and height—don't worry; the units will show up based on what you chose when you first opened the app.

Set Up Your Cargo

Next up is setting up your cargo in a similar way using another table for product data. Some fields are mandatory so that CargoWiz can arrange everything correctly while others help identify each item easily.

Consider Different Situations

You can also consider multiple factors! There are options to set allowed orientations, if items should stay only on the bottom layer, or how many units can be stacked. Plus, this is where you specify how many items need loading and see how much space they will take up in terms of containers and meters.

Analyze Your Setup

The fun part comes next—you get to view and analyze your cargo setup! Each type of cargo gets its own color for easy spotting. When you're ready, hit the “Load Container” button to see the most efficient arrangement based on size specs and other rules. A 3D model pops up showing all vital info like volume used and number of containers needed.

Manual Arrangement Option

If you're feeling hands-on, it may take a little time but arranging each piece manually is an option too! You’ll find it interactive and user-friendly. Plus, any layout you save can be applied to other loads.

You can even save images of your setup to share with your team! This feature is perfect since it offers a step-by-step overview of how to arrange everything in real-time using 3D previews.
