Getting started with Camera Guard is a breeze! It comes with easy installer and uninstaller utilities, so you won’t have to deal with any complicated steps. Just remember, if you want to try the demo version, you'll need to enter a working email on the developer’s site and wait for an activation code.

User-Friendly Interface

Once you have that sorted out, using Camera Guard is super simple. The app sits right in your status bar, making it easy to decide whether you want to block the camera or the microphone—just click a button!

Monitor Access with Deep Detective

The status bar also lets you activate something called the Deep Detective function. This cool feature shows a log of recent events and keeps track of any access attempts. Plus, you'll get alerts through the Notification Center whenever there’s an update or someone tries to access your devices.

A Firewall for Your Devices

Camera Guard doesn’t just stop unauthorized access; it actively monitors everything happening on your device. Think of it like a firewall that checks who’s trying to connect before they get in. If it's active, any request to use the camera will need approval first.

Important Note for Users

During our tests, we noticed that Camera Guard only blocks access if it's running before someone tries to connect. So if your camera was already being used before launching the app, it won't stop that process from running.

Auto Protection Settings

No worries though! You can add Camera Guard to your list of login items so it starts automatically when you boot up your computer. Just make sure auto protection is enabled in Preferences!
