Blink is a super handy, totally free, and open-source blog engine that lets you run multiple blogs at the same time. It’s designed for public access, so anyone can check it out! With Blink, your readers can easily comment on posts and search through them too.
One of the cool things about Blink is that it helps you keep everything organized. You can arrange your posts by the oldest or newest first, which makes it easier for your audience to find what they’re looking for. Plus, you have options to set each blog to accept public posts with automatic linking and semiotic bolding of definitions.
The admin side of Blink offers a bunch of useful features. You can archive all your blogs easily and decide how new posts or comments are displayed. If needed, deleting unwanted content is just a click away!
If you're ready to get started with Blink on your website, it's super easy! First, download the latest version from Softpedia or the project’s site. Save the file wherever you want, then extract it and place those files in the /cgi-bin directory on your local or online web server.
Keep in mind that Blink needs to be executable by your web server. To help it run properly on localhost, create an empty file called /cgi-bin/.local. Your blogs will be installed in the /cgi-bin/blink/ directory (like this: /cgi-bin/blink/My_First_Blog).
