What is AstroViewer?

AstroViewer is a cool Windows app that lets you explore sky maps from different places all around the globe. You can even travel back in time to see how the night sky changes! Plus, it helps you find planets and constellations easily.

Easy-to-Use Interface

The interface is super intuitive with a multi-tab layout, making it easy to gather info about the sky map, solar system, and which planets are visible. You can switch to full screen or night mode whenever you want!

No Manual Needed

While there isn’t a help manual included, you’ll find that the program settings are pretty straightforward. You can figure things out on your own without too much hassle.

Export Your Findings

You can export any images you create in formats like PNG or JPG right onto your computer, or even print them out if you'd like!

Set Your Location

With AstroViewer, you get to set up a sky map for any location at any time. Just enter details about your country and city or plug in latitude and longitude coordinates.

Dive Deeper into Celestial Bodies

You can click on celestial bodies for detailed info or search for specific objects. Plus, you have control over what shows up on the map—like constellation outlines, names of objects, celestial equator lines, and more!

Time Travel Made Easy

The main window has buttons that let you change the time in minutes, hours, days—you name it! Jump to the current time or pick a date from the built-in calendar.

Solar System Exploration

AstroViewer also gives you access to a solar system map for specific times. You can hide or reveal space probes like Orcus, Pallas, Varuna, Vesta, Sedna, and Eris on your map.

Visibility Chart

The visibility chart tells you which planets are above the horizon at your chosen location on any given day. How cool is that?
