Apple Firmware Restoration CD is here to help you out when things go a bit sideways with your Mac. Before you dive into using this software, just remember that your rights to use it are based on the software license agreement that comes along with it. So, if you decide to download or use this update, you're saying "yes" to those terms.
This handy tool is perfect for restoring your firmware after an update goes wrong. If your Mac is acting up and in need of some TLC, you’ll need to download the software and create the CD on another Mac. Alternatively, you can always pop into an Apple Store or an authorized service provider for help.
You can create this CD on either a PowerPC or Intel-based Mac, but keep in mind it only works with Intel-based Macs. Here’s a quick reminder: restoring your firmware will reset some of your computer's settings back to their defaults.
Your next step is using this CD to restore your firmware back to its factory condition:
A few moments later (about 30-60 seconds), you'll hear a startup beep, and a progress bar should pop up under that Apple logo on a gray screen. This means your firmware is updating!
Please don’t unplug or restart during this process! If you do, you'll have to start over from step 6.
The best part? Your computer will restart automatically once everything’s done!
If you're ready to get started with downloading Apple Firmware Restoration CD 1.9, make sure you check out and accept the Software License Agreement first! You’ll find that download button waiting for you at the bottom of that page.
