What is AlbumPaper?

AlbumPaper is all about making your music experience even cooler! When you listen to your favorite songs, this app can automatically change your desktop wallpaper to match the album art of what you're currently jamming to. How awesome is that?

Connecting AlbumPaper to Spotify

If you want to use AlbumPaper, you'll need to connect it to your Spotify or Last.fm account. Setting it up with Spotify takes a few steps, but don't worry, it's not too hard! You'll need to grab some credentials called Client ID and Client Secret. To get these, just head over to the Spotify Developer dashboard.

Create a new app by giving it a name and description, then go to Edit Settings. Here, add http://localhost:8080/ under Redirect URLs.

Add Users Easily

The next step is adding a user. Go to Users and Access, type in a name and your email address, then click Add. Now you can input those Client ID and Client Secret values into AlbumPaper.

Your Wallpaper Changes Automatically!

Once everything's set up, every time you listen to music on Spotify, your desktop background will switch automatically to that album art! The quality is pretty good too—no annoying compression issues here. And when you're done listening? Your wallpaper goes back to how it was.

Tweak Your Settings for Perfection

You can also adjust the size of the artwork in the settings if you like. Want some extra flair? You can choose foreground art in the background! Plus, there's an option for background blur which helps make lower-res artwork look better.
