aktSmart is a super handy Java-based app designed to help leaders in organizations manage their human resources better. It allows you to assign tasks to team members and keep track of how everyone is doing their jobs.

Components of aktSmart

This software has two main parts: aktSmart and aktSmartServer. For aktSmart to work like it should, you need to start aktSmartServer in Command Prompt first. Unlike drag-and-drop programs, this one requires some navigation through directories until you get to and run aktSmartServer.jar. This server component needs to stay up and running on your organization's server so that all users can connect through aktSmart.

User Connection Details

When aktSmartServer is running, it opens a port (4444) for users to connect using their login details. The default admin username is 'Admin', and the password is 'admin_password'. Once logged in, the admin can handle various tasks like managing roles and responsibilities.

Role Management Features

The cool thing about aktSmart is its 'Role Management' feature. As an admin, you can add new users with their IDs and passwords, plus assign them one or more roles. In the 'Activities of Role' section, you can create new roles for your organization by giving them names and descriptions along with levels like 'Above', 'Below', or 'None'.

Assigning Roles Easily

The 'Role Assignment' feature lets the admin give specific assignments tied to each user's role. And don’t forget the 'Role Order' section where admins can pick each role individually and set its level compared to others. These settings are flexible so managers can easily add, remove, edit, or assign roles and tasks as needed.
