Getting Started

Log Leech parses the console log entries made by applications on your system and presents them in an easy to read format.

Basic Use:

  • By default, Log Leech shows your console log entries grouped by the applications that made them.

  • To see all log entries sorted chronologically in the order that they occurred, select Group by Time from the View menu, or by click on the calendar button in the Group By toolbar.

To return from the chronological view to the main screen, click the application icon in the Group By toolbar, or select Group by Application in the View menu.

  • On the main screen, you'll see each application that has made an entry along with the number of entries it made during the date range specified in the "Time Period" control.

The last log entry made by an application is shown next to its icon.

  • To view all of the log entries for an application, select its row and select the "Show More Detail" in the Go menu, or press the right arrow key. Alternatively, you can just double-click its row.

To return from the detailed screen to the main screen, click the "Show Less Detail" menu item in the Go menu, or press the left arrow key.
