Zoë is a super handy tool that makes it a breeze to create JSON and JSONP sprite-sheet images and frame data from SWF files. If you’re working with SWF files, this tool can save you a lot of time!

Getting Started with Zoë

To kick things off, you’ll need to install the latest version of Adobe Air on your Mac. Also, make sure you're only using SWF files that were compiled with Player 9 or higher and use AS3 as the language version. Once you've got that sorted out, you’re ready to roll!

User-Friendly Interface

The best part about Zoë is how easy it is to use. You can just drag and drop your SWF files right from Finder onto its clean and simple interface. It’s really straightforward!

Navigating the Interface

The interface has a top toolbar where you can browse and open your SWF files. Below that, there’s another toolbar giving you access to menus like Source, Settings, Animations, and Export. Plus, there's a preview panel at the bottom where you can check out your animations.

Previewing Animations

After loading your SWFs, you can easily preview the animations. You can also set how many frames per second you'd like and adjust the image bounds in the Settings menu—super handy for tweaking things just right!

Exporting Your Work

When you're ready to export your project, just head over to the Export menu. Here, you can set how many frames you'd like in your sprite sheet, choose its resolution, and pick whether you want JSON or JSONP for your animation data that works perfectly with EaselJS.

Customization Features

Zoe isn’t packed with tons of customization options but does let you change the workspace’s background color. It's nice to have some personal touch even if it's not too much!
