Zipeg

Zipeg is a super handy app for Mac that makes it really easy to preview and extract files from different archive types. If you've ever dealt with compressed files, you know how tricky they can be. But with Zipeg, it's a breeze!

Easy File Management

From the main window of Zipeg, you can quickly open and unpack multi-part password-protected archives without breaking a sweat. Plus, you can choose where to save your extracted files right away. The top toolbar lets you do all sorts of tasks like opening the archive, extracting selected items, or even checking things out in Preview.

User-Friendly Navigation

The left panel is your friend here! It helps you browse through the directory tree and check out all the folders in the opened archive. You'll see everything listed on the right side, including file sizes and creation dates. Sorting through the list by name, size, or date is as easy as clicking your mouse a couple of times!

Simple Access to Options

You'll find that many options from the top toolbar are also in the context menu and Actions menu—super convenient! The Go menu is there too, making it easy to open up folders or go back with just a few keystrokes.

Customize Your Experience

If you want to tweak things a bit more, check out the Preferences slide sheet. Here, you can set Zipeg to extract either selected files or everything at once. You can even decide if it should send overwritten files straight to Trash and play a sound when it's done!

Automatic Settings for Convenience

Zipeg lets you assign different archive types so they automatically open with Zipeg when double-clicked. You can also set your default extraction location and let Zipeg figure out filename encoding for you.
