Yoshikoder

Yoshikoder is an easy-to-use app that helps you analyze text content. With this tool, you can gather multiple text files and access them all from one convenient spot. It’s pretty cool because it can create dictionaries, compile reports showing word frequency, highlight entries, change font styles, and let you choose different encoding modes like ASCII, Unicode, or even national encodings.

User-Friendly Setup

Just a quick note: make sure you have the Java Runtime Environment installed on your computer. If it's not there, Yoshikoder might not work properly. But don’t worry! You don't need to install it; just double-click the file to open up the main window. Plus, since it's small in size, you can easily keep it on a thumb drive and run it on any PC that has Java.

Creating New Projects

You can kick off new projects by giving them a name and description. It’s also super simple to copy documents. Once that's done, you can fill up your workspace with categories, patterns, and text documents.

Easy Navigation

The documents you've opened are easy to find using a tree view on the right side of the screen. On the left side, you'll see options for dictionaries, categories, and patterns. The center area is where you'll view your file's content. While you can select text to highlight it, keep in mind that Yoshikoder is mainly a reader and analyzer—so no editing features here!

Exporting & Analyzing Data

The good news? You can export your documents in UTF-8 or UTF-16 format! You can also highlight entries in any color you want by setting the highlight color using HSV, HSL, RGB, or CMYK modes. And if you're into content analysis dictionaries or making concordances? You can export those results in HTML or Excel format too! Plus there's a handy table that shows how many times each word appears in your current document or across all of them.
