Description

Yet Another Caller ID

The Internet is filled with various applications that you could use in order to enhance features on your computer and make the most out of its functions. One nice application is Yet Another Caller ID.

It's a nifty software solution that comes with a really intuitive graphical interface and plenty of tools at hand.

Key Features:

  • Intuitive graphical interface

  • Caller ID system utilizing your Windows-based computer's modem

  • Receive and display Caller ID info on your computer screen

  • Configurable COM Port and initialization string

You will also need to subscribe to Caller ID with your local phone company. If you want to broadcast to YAC listeners on the network, you will need to be connected to a network.

To get started using YAC, you need to download at least YAC for Windows. The YAC for Windows distribution includes the YAC server (or, just "YAC") as well as the Windows listener for additional computers.

A separate section inside the application displays the call log with items neatly arranged based on the date when the call was made, the number and the name. You can print the list easily but there's no option to save it as a text document on your computer.

You can save a phonebook inside the application, change the display ring or the port. Yet Another Caller ID is a very nice application for sending the caller ID information received from a COM port to your computer.
