Yet Another Terminal is a pretty cool software tool that helps you debug and manage serial communications. It's loaded with lots of handy tools and features, all organized in a clean and easy-to-use graphical interface.
This application installs quickly, and you won't have to deal with any complicated setups before diving into its features. Once you launch the app, the first thing you'll want to do is create a new terminal.
You can choose your terminal type, whether it's text or binary. Plus, there are options for different port types, allowing you to pick which serial port you'd like to use.
You can tweak settings like bits per second rate, data bits, parity, flow control, and more! There's even a feature that lets the app automatically try to reconnect every few seconds if it gets disconnected.
Once everything's set up just right, you can connect to your chosen port. The app lets you save multiple predefined commands along with shortcuts for each one. You can even add descriptions so you'll remember what each command does!
You have the option to import files in .yat format only. This lets you view information in different ways. If you want, you can enable panels for transmitting or receiving data easily!
The advanced settings menu is really extensive! You can select the type of radix (like string or binary) that suits your needs best. Plus, YAT allows separate radices for transmitting (Tx) or receiving (Rx).
You can display timestamps alongside details like length, connection time, count, and rate. There's also an option for YAT to replace certain characters with specific values.
YAT is an awesome application perfect for operating and debugging serial communications. If you're looking for an efficient way to handle these tasks smoothly, check out this link!
