XZCalc is a cool free app that helps you do some pretty heavy calculations with complex matrices, quaternions, and scalars. It was built using Visual C# .NET 2005, so you know it's got some solid tech behind it. Plus, being open-source means anyone can check it out or even contribute!
This handy tool supports a crazy number of decimal places and even has the Fast Hartley Transform feature to speed up those long multiplications. You can work with different notations for input and output—anything from base 2 to base 36! There are also tons of functions available like transcendental, hyperbolic, greatest common divisor functions, and even options for modulo arithmetic.
The setup process is super quick! Just remember that you need to have the .NET Framework installed on your computer first. Once you start it up, you can set how many digits you want in your numbers and how many commands you'd like to keep in history. If things get messy, no worries—you can always reset everything back to default.
The main window has a simple design that's easy to navigate. You can enter your matrix text and also see all the log details clearly laid out.
You have plenty of configuration choices too! Set the max decimal digits for XZCalc or adjust how many digits show up in the display. You can choose what bases to use for input and output as well as manage execution priority. Want to save your settings? No problem! You can save them to a file and restore them later.
We tried it out and everything ran smoothly without any hiccups—it didn't crash our system or cause any errors at all! Calculations were done quickly while using very little CPU or RAM resources.
Even though it hasn't had updates in a while, we didn't run into any compatibility issues with newer Windows versions. With all its features packed in, XZCalc should be perfect for anyone who needs help with complex matrix calculations.
