The XORSearch application is a powerful tool that allows users to search for a specific string in an XOR, ROL, or ROT encoded binary file. These types of encoded files are commonly used by malware programmers to obfuscate strings like URLs, making them difficult to detect without the right tool.
Key Features:
- Search for strings in XOR, ROL, or ROT encoded files
- Supports all XOR keys (0 to 255), ROL keys (1 to 7), and ROT keys (1 to 25)
- Prints search results up to 50 characters or until byte zero is encountered
- Options to save the encoded file containing the string
- Customizable character limit with the -l option
- Case-insensitive search with the -i option
