XMLPipeDB is a free and open-source suite of Java-based tools for automatically building relational databases from an XML schema (XSD). XMLPipeDB provides functionality for managing, querying, importing, and exporting information to and from XML data with minimum manual processing of the data.
While its applicability is fairly general, the original motivation for XMLPipeDB was to create a solution for the management of biological data from different sources that are used to create Gene Databases for GenMAPP (Gene Map Annotator and Pathway Profiler), software for viewing and analyzing DNA microarray and other genomic and proteomic data on biological pathways.
XMLPipeDB is a cool, free tool that helps you build relational databases from XML schemas (XSD) without breaking a sweat. It's all about making things easier!
This open-source software lets you manage, query, import, and export information to and from XML data. And the best part? You don't have to spend hours manually processing everything! It's designed to save you time and effort.
So, why was XMLPipeDB created? Well, it started with a need for handling biological data from different sources. This data is often used to build Gene Databases for GenMAPP, which is a tool that lets you view and analyze DNA microarray data along with other genomic and proteomic info on biological pathways.
If you're into biology or just want an easy way to deal with XML data for any reason, this tool is perfect for you! It opens up new ways of managing your information without needing tons of coding skills.
