XGuard

XGuard is a free and easy-to-use Mac OS X application. It allows you to monitor up to 9 different remote IP or DVR cameras simultaneously on your Mac. This app offers a flexible surveillance system, enabling you to replay recorded clips from DVRs or VSS devices.

Intuitive User Interface

The interface is straightforward, with three main sections: the device manager, the operation panel, and the video display pane. You can view it in full screen and resize the window by dragging its edges or corners.

Device Manager Features

The device manager section makes adding devices simple. Enter their details, such as name, address, port, username, password, and device type (DVR or IPCAM). The operation panel allows access to functions like playing recorded videos and viewing events.

Support for Multiple Devices

Besides IP cameras, XGuard can monitor DVR or NVR devices. It includes PTZ controls for remote viewing of live feeds, PB, and event video footage. Additionally, it supports audio recording.

Multiple Camera Views

You can display up to 9 cameras at once. The video display window offers three viewing modes: 1 camera, 4 cameras, or all 9. Double-clicking a camera opens it in 1x1 mode for focus.
